Veneers are thin shells that are custom-made to cover the front of your teeth. If you have any of the following smile flaws, Dr. Douglas A Deam may recommend dental veneers in Coral Gables, Florida:
- Discolored teeth
- Worn down teeth
- Chipped, cracked, or broken teeth
- Crooked teeth
- Irregularly shaped teeth
- Gaps and spaces between teeth
Before placing a dental veneer, our dentist will discuss your smile goals with you and examine the current state of your smile. Our dentist will remove a small amount of enamel from the tooth to allow room for the veneer. An impression of your tooth is made so the veneer can be constructed. Usually, veneer construction takes about two weeks. However, with the use of CEREC®, Dr. Douglas A Deam can make and place porcelain veneers in one visit. Our dentist will place the veneer on your tooth to check the fit and color. After any necessary adjustments are made, he will bond it to your tooth using a special cement and light. Then our dentist will remove any excess cement, evaluate your bite, and make any final adjustments.
